Will I get paid overtime to do the course?

No, the course is set up so that all the videos, reading and responses can be completed while you are at work. One minute in your break each day will have you on top of your game!

How long does it take?

Once the Training Agreement has been signed and the course goes ‘live’ it will take you six months in total. One module per month.

Can I do it at home?

Sure. You can complete tasks on your phone and/ or your home computer. All you need is your log in.

Do I pay for it?

No, the course has been fully funded by the government as part of their goal of upskilling the NZ workforce.

How hard is it?

The course is level 3 and has been designed for adult learners. It will call upon the skills you use in your everyday work.

What if I miss the start date?

Companies are eligible to start additional groups at a later date. Have a chat to your HR Manager or one of The Lean hub Coaches.

How long is this course available for?

This course is only available in its fully funded state until December 2022.

Are there any courses I can do after this one?

Yes – Other levels of this qualification are available.

What if I do not have a device?

No worries. Just let one of The Lean Hub coaches know so we can arrange an alternative media for you to use.

What if I stop once I have started?

That’s OK. We can help you catch up. Or if you really do not want to complete the course. Let us know and we will have you withdrawn.

Will we be given time in work hours to complete the course?

This will be up to your company to decide. The course is written in a way that it shouldn’t take too long to complete each module. It is largely understanding a concept (videos and reading) then providing an example of the concept in use within your own work environment.

What if I need help?

If you have any questions then come and find one of The Lean Hub coaches first. We are going to be at your place of work often. If we’re not there in the flesh why not join the online learners on our Facebook page OR click the “We’re Here” tab at the bottom of your course screen. Our IT guys and coaches are sitting behind this waiting to live-chat.

Are there tests in the course?

No tests! Just small tasks to complete, ultimately proving your understanding of the module.

Can I work with a colleague on this?

Of course. In fact, we encourage it. If you have someone at work you can discuss the modules and potential answers with - that’s great. Just make sure you answer the tasks in your own words.

What do I get at the end?

A New Zealand Qualifications Authority Certificate in Competitive Systems and Practices – Level 3.
